TD Bank has been a key sponsor for Pride Winnipeg since 2010. Without TD’s support the Pride Festival simply couldn’t happen as the funding helps secure everything from tents to talent.
TD is also involved with over 100 other LGBTTQ* organizations and initiatives across North America. In 2014 TD invested over $1.2 million dollars to support LGBTTQ* organizations and since 2007 has contributed $750,000 in anti-bullying campaigns.
TD’s support for our communities stemmed directly from the top with their former CEO Ed Clark. During an interview Ed said “You have to start and say this is just the right thing to do. This is about human rights, this is about being a good corporate citizen, this is about being a good person citizen”.
Today TD still stands behind that vision and is our Chamber’s 2016 Corporate Ally.
