This is awarded to a student of business or economics, or a student in any other secondary or post-secondary program who has demonstrated an entrepreneurial spirit and who has contributed positively to LGBT communities. The 2018 recipient is Tyler Andrade.

As one of Tyler’s nominators said, “As an active member of the community, Tyler is an ally and advocate for all human rights in his recent advocacy work for women’s rights Tyler attended the United Nations’ CSW62 where he handled social media and worked alongside national and international NGO’s”.

In February of 2018, Tyler developed a successful petition that challenged the Minister of Immigration to review the deportation policies regarding LGBTQ individuals claiming refugee status in Canada. This petition generated local media coverage and a network of solidarity produced nearly three thousand signatures in 48 hours. Award sponsored by RBC ( Brittannie Corona)
